!!!Special Immunization Clinic!!!
Columbus Public Health will be at AIMS…..one day only, so don’t miss your chance! Nurses from Columbus Public Health will come to AIMS to give the REQUIRED Tdap and Meningitis immunizations to any 6th grade students who turn in a shared consent form BY THE DEADLINE of March 27th. Parents do not need to be present (how handy is that?). These vaccines are required for 7th grade.
Immunization Clinic: during school day
* When: April 25, 2017
* Who is eligible? All 6th grade students with a completed shared consent form.
* Deadline to turn in permission/ registration form: March 27, 2017.
Registration packets have already been sent home with the 105 students without updated immunization records on file. I have received only 5 out of the original 105 that were sent home
If your 6th grade student has already had a Tdap AND meningitis vaccine, please turn proof of immunization in to the school nurse AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to avoid your child being excluded from school in the fall. The law states not just that the child has the immunizations, but that parents provide proof of immunization.
*Proof of immunization includes a current record signed or stamped by your healthcare provider or immunization clinic*
If you are not sure if you or your child have turned in this immunization record, you may contact the school nurse and I would be happy to verify it for you. Most 6th grade students need to turn this in, I have VERY FEW.

Almost 60 AIMS Choir members are going to be a part of a really cool event coming up in October. On Thursday, October 13 they will gather together with middle school students from Bexley and Whitehall to rehearse for a Saturday concert in Franklin Park. The whole event was inspired this summer as a response to repeated hate-based violence we all witnessed via social (and other) media. We are singing songs about peace and love and making the world a better place by getting along with one another. We wanted to create a group of kids from diverse backgrounds to show people what can happen when we all work together.
There is also a MANDATORY 8th grade Trip/Promotion meeting during this time
Welcome back students!
